The Gregory Women's Deva 70 Backpack helps you carry heavy loads comfortably up to the alpine and beyond. Its women-specific Response A3 Suspension system hauls loads as heavy as 65 pounds over challenging terrain that goes on forever. Highly ventilated and cushy LifeSpan foam covers the back panel, shoulder straps, and waist belt for breathable comfort from the trailhead to the campsite. You can move, replace, and interchange the QuickSwap shoulder straps for a customized fit, and the removable LumbarTune adds 10mm of support to your lower back when you need it.
The Deva is a traditional top-loader, and Gregory added a U-shaped front access point for convenient unpacking. This backpack also comes with Gregory's superlight SideKick daypack that doubles as a hydration sleeve, and the girth-hitched compression MultiStraps can act as a webbing belt for the SideKick when you want extra support on ultralight day hikes. The Deva also features a sleeping bag compartment with internal dividers, a WeatherShield waist belt pocket to protect electronics, an ergonomic SideWinder pocket for water bottles, and multiple attachment points for ice axes and trekking poles.

Highly recommend Gregory Deva
The Gregory Deva fabric is very resilient and very waterproof. It has withheld many tree snags and rainstorms. It is well organized and very comfortable. The way the bag moves on my hips makes treking over mountain tops very comfortable.

Solid pack with many versatile features
This pack came with a pack cover, a waterproof hip belt pocket, and a removable day pack, and I am so pleased with the versatility of all of these features. It fits well, and I expect it to be comfortable on the trail.

SUPER COMFORTABLE
The back brace on this device totally changes the backpacking game. I can go for hours longer and more comfortably. Totally worth the investment.

Great pack with awesome features
With the old pack I used I had a difficult time getting the weight off of my shoulders and onto my hips. With this pack I barely feel any weight on my shoulders OR hips! The 45 degree angle water bottle holder is supper convent and works great. The integrated day pack is genius. And the design/layout of the top brain allows for maximum storage space. This pack to me feels like a Marry Poppins Bag.

That Gregory life
Love this pack! Used it for a week long backpacking trip this summer. Has tons of space and easy accessibility to multiple parts of the pack. Plus tons of pockets for organising your gear which is a win for me. My only down side was that the shoulder strap padding really didn't go down very far on me. I wear a size between XS S, but I think a M strap for the shoulders would be better to have more padding make it down past my own personal padding designs. Other than that I do wish the water cover was a bit bigger. When the pack is empty it's coverage is great, but once your pack is full it doesn't completely cover the pack. We got rained on and a bit of my gear got wet from areas the cover didn't efficiently cover when full of gear. I love the pack for every other aspect, just wish those two things could be worked on.

Used for Mountaineering...
Took my Deva 70 pack on a 3-day mountaineering trip and it performed wonderfully. The 45 lb pack weight was very manageable to carry up/down steep slopes. All of the side pockets and access were great for storing snacks, sunscreen, and other items I needed quick and frequent access too. Overall it is a great pack. The only thing I would alter would be to make the zip tech pocket on the hip belt slightly larger. I have an S8 with and Otter Box cover and it does not fit into the pocket, today there are many phones that are even larger.

Amazing fit and durability!
Took me through Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia without feeling back or shoulder pain. Honestly really incredible backpack with many different compartments and ways of adjusting it to fit your needs

Extra weight of pack is worth it for padding
I went on a 28 mile long weekend trip with this pack and was very pleased. It was my first time backpacking in about 10 years and I was worried because I get occasional low back pain. I was able to crank the hip belt down and get extra support like an illiosacral belt. I didn’t have any hip bruising and it was comfortable even though I was carrying extra weight because my dog came along (35lbs food and water). I was a little creaky one day but I think it was because the pack was loaded a bit off center. My main gripe is the sternal strap. It kept creeping up throughout the day and I’d pull it back down. It’s on a slide and doesn’t secure well. The sleeve on the side of the pack also wasn’t the best for a nalgene. My bottle kept shimmying up and came out once while I was hiking. A slimmer bottle would have been a better fit for it. The collapsible water bottle holder on the other side is great and I liked the quick release cord. I’m 5’4” 135lbs and purchased the XS.
